The Souper Bowl of Caring Collection and Bowlathon: Since 1990 young people in churches across the nation have been leading the charge, teaming up with local charities to change the biggest weekend in football into the biggest weekend in caring. All donations raised for the Souper Bowl of Caring—more than $100 million since 1990!—go to local charities, allowing churches to tackle hunger in their own neighborhoods. Here at the Church of St. Jude, we’re raising funds for the new Mother and Child Ministry, the first outreach project at the St. Jude Mission Center, located at St. Michael and All Angels Church in Seaford. On Super Bowl Sunday, young people will be collecting donations as you exit the services, and any and all contributions will be greatly appreciated. Also, if you’re attending the 10:15 service, please visit the annual bake sale during coffee hour. (Contributions of baked goods for the sale also would be greatly appreciated.) Contact Barbara Rice Thompson at if you’d like more information.

Bowlathon:  Presidents’ Day, February 20th.  All children from fourth grade to twelfth grade are invited to participate and bring a friend! More information to follow in next week’s bulletin.

Christmas Cards & Donation Envelope Boxes: are still available on a table in the hallway outside the classrooms. Please pick up yours today!. If you would like a box of envelopes, please contact Rhonda in the parish office.
